Congratulations to our new player of the month, [ATG] Pecan! She will recieve free donor status and class restriction immunity for the entire month.
Remember, everyone is eligible for being chosen player of the month, but those who are more active in the community have a higher chance of being chosen. This means registering on the forums, playing on many of our servers, and being a great team-player.
Unfortunately, our Community Team is slacking which is why the news hasn't been updated. So, I'll cover a range of things that has been going on with ATG in this post.
First and foremost. We hope that everyone had great holidays. Merry Christmas, Kwanza, Hanukkah and to those who celebrated Thanksgiving and Halloween.
Stephen went ahead and made a Halloween Event version of pl_Badwater for Halloween. Gifts were given and many, many laughs were had. It was a great Halloween. If you missed this year then be sure to look out for next year. Download the map here: pl_badwater_event_final
ATG has added a Rocket Jump server to the list. If you're a soldier or demoman looking to increase your mobility, I recommend a jump server. There are beginner, intermediate and advanced maps for all players to enjoy. Check it out at: 69.39.236.47:27015
One of our admins, Tobuoi, runs a blog and decided to write about ATG. You can view it here: Frag, Pwn, Reload
ATG wishes you all a great new year with great new experiences to come. If you wish to share your New Year's Resolution with the community - I'd be happy to read. Sign up or post here: New Year's Resolution Thread
We here at ATG feature a separate button for All Talk. That way, you can strategize with your teammates on how to kill someone with the regular talk button, and tell the guy you just killed how awesome it was with a different button.
Sometime in the near future, ATG's very own madmattd will be participating in an event unlike any other. The Highlander Mix-Up Match is an event where 6 Valve employees, 6 Professional TF2 players and 6 pub players are thrown together to duke it out in a battle royale.
The maps slated to be played include one of everyones favouries, pl_badwater and what ever the heck cp_freight is. The plan is to broadcast the match via SourceTV so we will post that information once we have it.
Highlander this past Sunday was very successful and a lot of fun. J-tins and Bacon picked teams that were even and competitive. Roland was our utility player we shared back and forth to balance teams. Bacon's team won Badwater 3-1 while J-tins won Viaduct 3-1. It was a great couple of hours that we hope to do again in a few weeks.
